Still Alive...

Hiya,

It's been too long and I'm crazy busy. Furiously cleaning like Jehu drove his chariot....My best friend in the whole world is coming in 2 weeks and my house looks like a tornado resides in it.

I guess having 3 dogs, a barbie obsessed kid and an injured hubby will do that!
I'm doing what I can. Today I spackled the holes that have a wall attached and repaired the hand railing in the stairwell that the RETARD who lived here before installed.

What a retard!

Instead of drilling into the 2X4 wall stud the RETARD drilled 2 wholes in the wall, filled it with epoxy then pushed (not drilled) the 3 inch screws through the holes. RETARD. Seriously? What a retard.

The more things we (I) have to repair in our new-ish home, the more I'm realizing that the previous owners where completely incapable of coming up with any kind of workable solution to general home repair. I mean, I'm not Mike Holmes (sigh) and I've never taken any courses on home repair, but who in the flaming hell uses a one inch accordion hose for the drain pipe under the kitchen sink? AND attaches it with one of those screwy/clamp thingy s!!!!! Jeez Freekin Louise!

We've been here 2 years in May, and I still haven't looked in the attic. I'm afraid of what I may find. One day I will conjure up the courage to get the ladder ('nother story all together) and poke my head through the ceiling....I might even shine the flashlight up there....

Right now I should be making dinner, but, I have a bedroom to clean, a floor to vaccum, and Guilder to frame for it....(Princess Bride Lovers will understand...)

Kendra's room looks pretty cool. I took down her pink closet curtains and hung them from the frame of her loft bed. God Bless the human that invented Velcro!!!

I Love how it gives the illusion of her room being clean....until you pull back the curtain...

Anyway, I've put in a full day, and now I'm gonna go make left overs.
